The room
We took a 1912 cotton broker's office on Marbury Street and left most of it alone — the heart pine floors, the twelve-foot ceilings, the transom windows that still hold the afternoon. What we added were chairs worth an evening and the ventilation to make three hours in one feel like none at all.
No televisions. No music you have to talk over. Enough distance between the seats that a conversation stays yours, and enough closeness that a good one finds you when you came in alone.

What you'll find
Four hundred square feet, held at 70/70, and rotated weekly. Padrón and Fuente in depth, a locked case for the allocated releases, and a keeper who will ask what you're drinking before recommending anything.
Ninety expressions of whiskey and a rum shelf that surprises people. Poured by someone who understands that the second drink should match what's left of the cigar, not the first.
The reason the room works. Members hold lockers along the east wall, and the staff know what's in them. Come three times and you'll stop needing to explain your order.
Membership

Members keep a cedar locker, walk in ahead of the room on Friday and Saturday, and take fifteen percent off the humidor. We cap the roll at two hundred so the chairs stay available to the people who hold one — when we're full, we're full, and there's a list.
