Privacy

This is a one-person business, not a data operation. I collect what I need to do the filing you paid for, and the list below is the whole of it.
What I collect
- What you type into an order form: your name and email, your business name and the names you want, your principal and mailing addresses, your registered agent's name and address, and the name, address and title of each authorized person.
- Your payment: handled entirely by Stripe. Card numbers never reach this site and I never see them. I can see that a payment happened, for how much, and the email attached.
- Site usage: Google Analytics, which sets cookies and records pages viewed and which checkout you clicked through to.
Who it goes to
The parts that become public are the point of the product, not a side effect, so they are first:
- A newspaper, for a DBA order. Your notice — the fictitious name and the owner details the statute requires — is published in print and usually on the paper's website. That is what you are buying.
- The Florida Division of Corporations, for an LLC filing. The whole filing is public record on Sunbiz: addresses, the registered agent, and every authorized person.
And the services that run the business:
- Stripe — payments.
- Netlify — hosting, and the form submissions themselves.
- Resend — the order and confirmation emails.
- Google Analytics — site usage.
Nobody else. I do not sell your details, I do not rent them, and I do not hand them to advertisers.
Buying something gets you the emails about that order. If you have bought from me I may email you once about something directly relevant — an annual report coming due, for instance. Every one of those has an unsubscribe, and one click is enough.
How long I keep it
Order records stay as long as I need them for tax and business records, which in practice means years rather than months. A filing that has become public record is public permanently, and neither of us can withdraw it.
Your choices
Email karen@thehonestfounder.co and I will tell you what I hold about you, correct it, or delete what I am not required to keep. No form, no process.
Children
Nothing here is sold to anyone under 18.
Changes
If this changes, the date at the top changes with it.
